Have we traded the priviledge of aging for the illusion of eternal youth?

Or maybe we've allowed celebrity culture & wellness influencers & biohackers to erase the beauty of growing older

I have changed in many ways. I used to be afraid, yes, fearful, of some of the symptoms of menopause and aging, be it that my body doesn't work like it used to or doesn't look like it used to. Much of the longevity, biohacking, and healthspan industry is rooted in fear of aging.

This is why I prefer to call myself the Queen of Balance. Sandy K Nutrition Health & Lifestyle Queen podcast offers options from all angles—not to dictate health to you but to help you decipher your resonance and achieve balance in your life. Aging better is the goal, but never deny that aging itself is necessary. Aging isn’t the enemy; trying to escape it is an illusion.

I've gone past this one-year "magical" mark of no more periods, so I guess I'm officially in menopause. I’ll write about some very interesting observations soon and some clues that might help ease the transition; however, everyone’s experience will differ.

I feel I am emerging on the other side of it and evolving simultaneously.

While I still care about how my body works and looks and how I look aesthetically, I don't want to change this entirely.

Years aren't lost; they're earned.

At one point, I felt discouraged by all these women celebrities, leaders, influencers doing everything they could to hide their age...seriously, how can we live up to this new standard of a woman over 50?

I know how.

Look inside. Do the work inside. Work inside out.

I see women on both sides - those who do things to make themselves look younger and those who do nothing and age naturally.

Both can be beautiful, wise, glowing and graceful.

Both can be very ugly.

It comes from the inside.

What's inside of you?

How do you feel about yourself?

How do you feel about aging?

How do you feel about your life?

Is your life all about the external - the money, the aesthetics, the appearances?

How much work do you do for your health deep within you that goes much deeper than the food on your plate?

How deep are your thoughts or do you mostly numb them?

How deep are the relationships and bonds around you?

Weekend thoughts...much love. Sandy xx
