When I first heard of egg cleanses, I thought even its description was downright weird. How can an egg cleanse you?
I am a spiritual being, engaging in numerous practices and rituals. Perhaps many of the rituals I use in my life might be used by witches, but I don’t label my beliefs or my spirituality. While I was raised Catholic, I don’t have to label myself anything. What I can tell you is that I am not atheist or agnostic, and I have a strong belief in God. In life, I don’t believe in labelling much at all. Seriously, why does anyone need to know what exactly I am? So I can be categorized? It is a big issue in this world. You can see I am a woman - leave it to this. I.e., they/them, he/she/red/blue/black/white - why does this extensive labelling matter?
What matters is if you’re a good person or an asshole in my world.
Recently, one man trolled me intently all over social media because I don’t believe in this new way of labelling pronouns, and I believe, in my expert opinion as a nutritionist, that you cannot be healthy at every size and obesity is a huge health epidemic. He was angry and triggered, and it was scary how he spent his day/days finding me everywhere to try to “take me down.” He doesn’t realize who I am and where I come from. I have a lot of power within me to protect me from such random, unsolicited attacks.

This prompted me to write about egg cleanses, why I do them regularly, and how this might help you, too.
My Eastern European family's upbringing on a farm in Croatia has a long history of believing in rituals and practices. My parents, who grew up on these farms, have told me many stories.
Here is an interesting one…
My grandparents had horses and many farm animals. My mom was born in 1946, so this was long ago. When she was a little girl, they’d sometimes wake up, go to the barn, and the horses’ manes were braided, even though their horses went to sleep in the barn with their manes combed out, unbraided. Was this a witch’s act? Old folklore even speaks of this act when witches borrow horses to ride at night and braid their manes. This was not folklore for my mom back on the farm - it was reality. My grandparents wouldn’t allow anyone to touch the horses until the braids were loosened, and they were sure no spell was cast on them or their horses.
Interesting?
Many rituals and beliefs existed throughout my lineage. I have read about and researched many rituals, and I adopt what resonates with me, always respecting where these rituals came from. I have a unique perspective on spirituality, and no one has the right to judge me for it or label me in any way because I cannot be labelled.
Egg cleanses have a long history. A practice called “Oomancy,” which is said to have originated in Greece, is more recently adopted by many new-age traditions.
There are many differing rituals and interpretations, so my advice is to adopt what resonates with you.
The egg is believed to be a capsule that can absorb negative energy from the body.
As a person in the public eye, it is important that I do an egg cleanse regularly for one main reason: I have no idea who may potentially wish me harm or place an evil eye upon me. Thus, cleansing my body of this energy is an important practice. Anyone who follows me knows how strongly I believe in the power of energy.
My practice:
